Day 13 - Norwich, Waterfront: Today I woke up late! Everyone else except Will was up, and had apparently visited a greasy spoon cafe about 20 meters away, and said it was superb. I decided to be a sheep, and check it out for myself. After having a very long shower, I ambled over to this 'lard-on-earth' cafe, set to take myself one meal closer to a coronary. It's a good job I had a monster appetite, as the plate of food I received was almost surreal. Two sausages, two rashers of bacon, two eggs, Beans, hash brown, chips and toast. I'll get my coat now, and walk straight to the hospital.....................actually, I couldn't really walk after eating that. There is internet at the venue, so I decide to attempt to get onto Myspace. I fail. Miserably. It's quite possibly the slowest internet connection ever, and after about 30 mins of 'Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred' I decide to give up. We unanimously agree that Family Guy is good idea, so we dim the light in the dressing room, and have a good old laugh at this very funny program. The stage at Norwich waterfront is great. It's pretty big, so there's space to move, there are some great 'house' lights which made Jamie our lighting guy very happy, and the sound is generally really good, unless you have Johnny P, our engineer, who makes everything sound awesome. He could even make Jordan and Peter Andre sound good.....that's talent. We take the stage, and probably give one of our most assures performances of the tour so far.....everything felt right, and I'd even be tempted to say that we played a flawless set. Overall, it felt like we were becoming yet more assured with these new songs, and settling back into the rigours of going out every night and really performing. All was good. We met the fans after the show, and can only say thank you to all the people who come with such nice comments. We seem to pack up everything really quickly this evening, and before we know it, are back on the bus ready to move onto Bristol, where, apparently we are playing on a boat. Should be fun. Maybe we'll 'rock it'......someone kill me now, I seem to venturing more and more into 'dad-joke' territory! www.lewisslade.com/thirteensenses
