Amsterdam, Holland Oh dear! After a very late night on the bus ironing all of my underwear ;-) I thought I'd have a nice sleep in……not to be!! The air-con on the bus was up the creek, and I found myself sweating in my bunk from parts of my anatomy that I didn't know could sweat! It wasn't bad though, as, again, it was such a lovely day, that it would be a shame to waste it. After a mighty fine shower we were ready to explore. Amsterdam is a great city, and because it was Queens Day (That relates to the royal family might I add!) there was a fantastic party vibe in the air. It was quite different from anything I've ever experienced…….the streets were buzzing with people enjoying themselves, and there wasn't even a sniff of violence in the air. We we're playing at the Paradiso, which is a beautiful converted church, and an amazing venue. We were part of the ‘London Calling' feature, which is a showcase for new British talent. The room was full when we took the stage……a good 1200 people. We really enjoyed it , and the venue, the lights and the crowd helped make it a really great night. The gig was filmed so keep your eyes peeled for a sample of it on the website somewhere. After the show we enjoyed the delights of a city in celebration until the early hours of the morning!! Adam.
