well hello all!
ok........meanings of songs, this is always an interesting one!!

As I'm sure most of you can see, a lot of Wills lyrics are quite obtuse, 
and, despite often being great to sing along to, it's hard to grasp any 
real meaning. 

Will, like many song writers conceals the topics he is writing about 
with many metaphors. Also, in addition to simply enjoying writing songs, 
Will (again, like many other song writers) uses his time penning tunes 
as a kind of therapy........other people play sports, or write diaries 
etc.

Writing these songs can be a very personal thing...........try to imagine 
sitting down and completing a piece of work in your own space and time, 
that initially was just for your own benefit, and then finding out 
that......boom!..........a very large amount of people are then going to 
hear or see it........a little bizarre to say the least!!

Because his work can be so personal to him, Will has never really been 
that forthcoming about the song meanings, but has at least tried to give 
people a general idea about them where possible.

If you think about many of your favourite songs, they are quite often 
your favourite song simply because you love hearing them, and the feeling 
if gives you when you hear them, but also, they can be favourite tunes 
for so many more reasons......it's usually the memories associated with 
them...............where you first heard it etc. These songs can have 
massive meanings to you, meanings of your own. Have you ever heard a 
song, and thought that it feels like it was written just for you 
(I know I have).

This is one of musics massive powers, and by telling everyone the real 
meanings behind the songs, you can in theory, take away the meaning of 
a song to an individual.
